Zombie survival becomes a hot topic in these years, and people do come up with designs of various refuges, different idea of escaping or methods to fight against zombie.
I personally conclude all of those thoughts into three elements:
1. Mobility -- Waiting for the military to save you is the worst decision. From every movie, book, or webpage I have read about, if someone stays in a bunker, eventually, the zombies will locate him/her and break into the bunker, because first of all, the military never comes (if one hides himself/herself very well, probably he/she hides from the military; second, the zombies outnumbers human beings tremendous (otherwise, it is not so called apocalypse), they can find one by smelling or bumping into; third, there will always be stupid refugees ending up ruin your shelter (like the communist saying "undermine the capitalism from inside") .
2. Armor/Resistance -- in the other (non-gaming) word, have a defense system. The premise of mobility is defense. Do not walk around in nudity. Please drive a armed vehicle. If one has no access to an ironman suit/ batman suit, at least one should cover all the skins. One wound will lead to infection, which none of us would like to see.
3. Damage output -- ammunition. If bazooka or AK-47 is not available, one should get a rifle or pistol. Also, hammer, baseball bat armed with nails or other blunt will be very helpful in short distance combat. The point of damage output is to reduce the number of zombies that hinder one from escaping.
Have faith in human being! We have spent millions of years to climb up to the top of the food chain ( ugh, I'm not meaning to consume zombies), we will adapt to the new situation. There is going to be a new leader who will unite the rest human being to develop a cure and rebuild the world.

But, but, but, none of the above makes senses after I saw this:

I shall never never write my essay 5 AM on the day it's due!!!
Procrastination
Days after days, nights
after nights,
Homework never ends, and
I
Never willing to do it,
not until the last minute.
Thus, postpone, postpone,
and postpone, endlessly
Dreaming to face, or
suffer, in the future.
However, it doesn't work
that way.
Successfully, I postpone
the homework,
For a transient break, in
exchange,
Procrastination punishes
me, by his harassment
It never stops, just like
Demon's pawn, chases me around.
How many study-halls, I
was
Playing games, or
chatting around
To forget the homework,
even for a moment
I didn't mean to, it's
all because of Procrastination
How many nights, I cannot
sleep well,
For guilty of dealing
with Procrastination,
For guilty of escaping my
responsibility.
And how many mornings, with the help
Of a 5:00 a.m. alarm, I
united my spirits,
Finish the
Unfinished.
Procrastination is
playing me,
In a way that a wolf enjoys
its prey.
I, cannot, stop dealing
with him.
Oh, God! What should I
do?
What should I do? Save
me, please!
I, dare not, expect a lot
from you,
Simply a nice night-dream, which
Will not be interrupted
by the 5:00 a.m. alarm.

Symbol in Metropolis
Johnhan Frederson -- Lord Jehovah
Frederson lives in the highest level of the building, and also he represents the highest authority in the building. He is monitoring all the machine and labors--even they are not aware of. Meanwhile, he is also considering the fate and future of the labors. All these background setting hints that Frederson is the supreme leader, judge or Jehovah of metropolis.
In the movie, there are several scenes of Frederson overlooking the entire world in front of a window of skyscraper. The director tries to let audience understand the social ranking of Frederson in every possible way.
Freder -- Jesus
As the son of Frederson, or as the son of Jehovah, Freder is a symbol of Jesus. His relinquishing his priority and getting down to the lower class level symbolizes the fact that Jesus lives and suffers in mortal world. In the scene that a worker falls in coma and Freder takes the work and gets a worker dress reminds me of this symbol.
The Babel
Unlike the Babel in Bible, firstly, the Babel here is not build as challenging against the God. Instead, it is for communicating to the God; secondly, the failure of the Babel is due to different. Instead of by the God's interference, the Babel in metropolis is destroyed because of workers' incapability to understand the blueprint of the tower.
Scientist Rotwang -- Satan
As long as there are benevolent elements, there will be malicious elements. Deviating from stereotype, scientist here becomes a evil character. It is not difficult to imagine that all those machine is invented and designed by this guy. Indeed, those machines are the survival methods. On the other hand, machines are also the source of pain and suffering. Machines deprive the all rights and human natures from the workers.
At the end, Rotwang is kicked off the building by Frederson. In pairs, Satan is banished into hell by the God

Frankensteinnnnnnnn
Monstrosity has always been a popular literature topic through out human history. Although forms of it are diverse, from the west to east, it exists in every culture, and yet it reflect the culture background in which it was created. Also, as human being's recognition of the world develops, monsters develops as well.
Frankenstein was written in the early 1800's. During that time period, industrial revolution started. People started view this world in a more scientific way and tried to explain unknown phenomena logically instead of taking for grant as a god's or demon's supernatural power. Under such background, which is called Enlightenment, Frankenstein is a MILESTONE creation, and it is a milestone in at least three aspects.
How is the monster created? To answer this question, two sub-questions need to be discussed. First, for what reason is the monster created. Monsters before Frankenstein is mostly demon and ghost. They are cursed to be monsters because of their bad deeds, so actually, they are guilty, and such creation is used as a method of punishment and warns people not to do bad things. However, Frankenstein is no more than a fail science project until the lightening strikes it. This is an accident, and Frankenstein is not responsible for its behemoth body and abominable resemblance. In modern comics, monsters are all created against their will. For example, hulk, lizard doctor, and Doc Octopus are all due to experimental failure. Such creations reflect innocence and helplessness. Second, through what method is the monster created. It is not hard to see that monsters before Frankenstein are created based on god's, immortal's power or other supernatural power...
